JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Engineer (Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC)) is responsible for the maintenance of the Integrated Management system and processes in compliance to ISO9001, EN1090 (ISO14001, ISO45001)
Responsible for the Coordination and management of the NCR process (CACAPADA and Verification).
Identification of risk in Quality Processes and subsequent mitigation.
Responsible for ensuring incoming material, in process parts and final components meets Quality standards required via electronic assurance system.
Participation of cross functional improvement initiatives incl Lean, QHSE, Documentation Digitalization. Coordination of external bodies.

Quality
- Support the Head of Quality and HSE in the maintenance of the Management system.
- Coordination of recording, containing, corrective and preventative actions for Quality Issues.
- Participate and lead improvement initiatives for digitalization of systems, processes and Lean initiatives.
- Training and guidance on best practice in Root cause and CAPA.
- Organizing calibration of equipment.
- Contribute to Technical Review process and Project handovers.
- Performing and organizing of Audits internal and External.
- Organizing and management of welding inspection contractors.
- Ensuring WPS, WPQR, and Welder qualifications are Maintained.
- Creation, control and compilation of ITP’s and LTQR’s to meet customer and project traceability requirements.
- Reporting of KPI’ s and Presentation to Management team,
- Implementation and maintenance of LPA (Layered Process Audits)
- Perform and assist in NDT inspection when required.
- Maintenance of FMEA Process.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
- A demonstrated track record of training personnel to achieve the Quality standards- Essential.
- Experience in Quality Assurance for production manufacturing – Essential.
- Displays the need for thoroughness and attention to detail - Essential
- Welding and Fabrication background- Essential
- Strong computer skills required - Essential
- IAuditor – Desirable
- CSWIP/ PCN2 Visual Inspection – Essential
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- ISO9001 Auditing certificate – Essential
- ISO14001/ ISO45001 - Desirable

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.30 and Friday 08.00-14.00 (37.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £38,000 to £43,000 per annum depending on experience
