Your Responsibilities Will Be:  

• Working alongside the materials supervisor, this position primarily operates and maintains the Amada laser CNC machine.
• Select and set-up the lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Manage and maintain files to ensure matching revision levels at all time.
• Monitor fill level of chiller system and process gases, liaise with materials supervisor when stocks need replenishing.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on the machine and equipment as required.
• Perform all dimensional inspections.
• Detect, report and quarantine all defective materials.
• Wear appropriate PPE and comply with all company safety rules and legislation at all times.
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat, tidy and organized.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

• IOSH or basic health & safety certification (preferred).
• Lean or continuous improvement training (advantageous).

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 14.45 to 01.00 (39 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £16.86 plus a 15% shift allowance when working on the applicable shift times
